Casimir energy and the possibility of higher dimensional manipulation - Proposal that a higher dimension could be manipulated using Standard Model fields at the LHC. Calculation of energy requirements and suggestion that this is effectively a technological mechanism that could be used to 'tune' the local Dark Energy density. (arXiv:0906.4601, Submitted Jun 09)
Investigation into Compactified Dimensions: Casimir Energies and Phenomenological Aspects - Ph.D Dissertation. (Accepted Dec 08)
Dark Energy, the Casimir Effect and the Randall Sundrum Model - This paper demonstrates that the extra dimensions can be stabillized by the vacuum fluctuations of higher dimensional quantum fields. We show the field combinations required to produce a de Sitter minimum in the Randall Sundrum 1 model. We also explore the possible relationship between higher dimensional Casimir energy and dark energy. (Submitted to Nucl.Phys.B)
Radius Destabilization in Five Dimensional Orbifolds Due to an Enhanced Casimir Effect - Original calculations demonstrating the enhancement of the Casimir effect in the presence of a generic Higgs-like field localized to the 5th dimension. (Mod. Phys. Lett. A24, No. 19 (2009) pp. 1495-1506.)
Warp Drive: A New Approach - The most recent version of the dimensional warp drive concept. Incorporates physics from the popular ADD model of Large Extra Dimensions. Both quantum field theory and general relativity are used to analyze the model. Dimensional regularization and renormalization are derived explicity and new calculations of maximum speeds and energies required are included. (JBIS, Vol. 61, pp. 149, 2008)
